The programming, organized by the Departments of Historical Heritage and Culture, starts this Saturday with activities for all audiences
'Estiu a l'Hort' arrives, with workshops, concerts and animations during the month of July
The Department of Historical Heritage, with the collaboration of the Department of Culture, have prepared 'Estiu a l'Hort', a leisure and cultural proposal that begins this coming Saturday, the 2nd, and that during the month of July will offer workshops, concerts and animations in an enclave as emblematic as l'Hort de Colón.
The councillor of Historical Heritage, Ana Pellicer, explained that "in recent years l'Hort de Colón has become a reference space for cultural activities, especially during school vacation periods such as Christmas or the summer months ”. "Precisely the previous experiences and the great reception that these types of proposals have led us to propose once again a continuous program during the summer in l'Hort de Colón, suitable for all types of audiences and open to all people interested in enjoy different summer afternoons”, he added.
Music will be in charge of opening 'Estiu a l'Hort', this Saturday with a performance by The Traster Quartet, starting at 9:00 p.m. The mayor of Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, has indicated that "within the musical programming, small-format proposals of various musical styles have been combined, in which our three local bands also have weight and prominence through the Grupo de Metales de the Musical Society La Nova, the Ensemble of the Societat Musical l'Illa and the Chamber Group of the Musical Union”.
Added to these proposals are the already mentioned The Traster Quartet, Mestís Trio and Orquestalia, "thus completing a musical offer that ranges from jazz to swing, passing through cabaret and Latin sounds".
In addition to music, the councilor for Historical Heritage has reported that 'Estiu a l'Hort' "proposes free workshops aimed especially at young people between 13 and 17 years old in which various artistic disciplines will be addressed and which come from the hand of recognized professionals such as the artist Tito Pérez Mora, the photographer Lucía Morate and the artisan workshop Naranja&Madera”. The third pillar of the July program of 'Estiu a l'Hort' will be the animations. The first of them, this Sunday, July 3 at 8:30 p.m., "is designed for children and is the clown proposal 'Paparruchas' by the company Clown Destino. The last day of the month will be the time for the animation 'El Transformimo' by Martin Kent, proposed for all audiences.
