Espai Jove, a meeting point for the youth of Benidorm, opens
Today opens its doors, one more course, the Espai Jove. A space that serves as a meeting point for the youth of Benidorm, which draws up its own calendar of activities and whose objective is to promote educational leisure.
The Councilor for Youth, Jaime Jesús Pérez, has announced today the opening of Espai Jove, a day before “the start of the school year in Infant, Primary and Secondary”. An initiative, of the Youth Information Center (CIJ) and the City Council, that is postulated as “a complementary service to training that, through complementary free activities, directed by specialized monitors, that aim to inform and motivate young people of Benidorm ”.
Jaime Jesús Pérez recalled that "before the pandemic", Espai Jove came to serve "more than a thousand young people a month" a figure that can be improved "with the activities that have been programmed and that are renewed month by month ”. In this regard, the councillor has clarified that the monthly programming is published "punctually in the usual channels of the CIJ, social networks of Benidorm City Council and in the informative posters published by Youth".
The councilor has stressed that participation in Espai Jove is completely free. "You can freely attend any of their activities", although, "for reasons of prevention against Covid-19, the protocol dictated by the health authorities that involve the use of a mask or hydroalcoholic gel will be followed."
The Espai Jove carries out its activities in the afternoon, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, in the morning, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Likewise, young people attending for the first time will have to present a document of acceptance of these conditions which, in the case of minors, must be signed by their parents or guardians.
