The Espai D'Art of Benidorm City Council hosts from today the exhibition of paintings and sculptures of the XXXIII Contest of Young Creators organized by the Department of Youth. An exhibition that will be open to the public to be visited until next February 18, as reported today by the Councilor for Youth, Jaime Jesús Pérez.
That same day the jury's decision will be known, which will determine which works receive the 1,000 euros in each of the two modalities. In addition, there will be another prize for the best work by an artist under 18 years of age.
In this XXXIII edition, a total of 15 artists have taken part, four men and eleven women, who have submitted 14 paintings and seven sculptures to the competition. "This is a contest that is consolidated as one of the main activities of the Department" said Pérez, who also specified that as it is open to participants from all over the Spanish geography "works have come from towns such as Villarreal, Zaragoza, Salamanca , Lleida or Boadilla del Monte, among others”, in addition to others from Benidorm and nearby municipalities.
The councillor has been "very satisfied" with the reception that the contest has had for another year "that we want to continue promoting among young people." Jaime Jesús Pérez has encouraged “everyone to come and see the works, which are made with great technique and elaboration”.
