Environment department collaborates with a cleaning in the area of El Moralet organized by Leroy Merlin
The Department of Environment, headed by Mónica Gómez, has collaborated today with a collective cleaning in El Moralet area organized by the multinational, Leroy Merlin, within its corporate social responsibility policy. Around 200 employees of the firm have participated in this cleaning, which has focused on the wooded area closest to the TRAM station and near the park and ride parking space.
Gómez explained that "it was the company itself that proposed this environmental action to close its National Congress, which has been developed these days in a hotel in Benidorm." The responsible for the Environment has indicated that "this initiative has allowed the removal of waste", which has been taken over by the concessionaire of road cleaning, Building and Contract Promotion (FCC).
"We believe that this type of action serves to raise awareness about the importance of keeping the environment clean and free of waste, hence we collaborate both in its development and its dissemination,"she stressed.
