The EMCORD program for the promotion of employment subsidized by LABORA is ended in Benidorm
The Department of Employment of Benidorm Town Hall has developed another year the EMCORD Program, a program of social initiative and employment promotion of LABORA (Valencian Employment and Training Service), aimed at hiring long-term unemployed people, and that has allowed to insert a total of eleven workers into a job over a period of six months.
The eleven workers hired by Benidorm Town Hall joined their positions on December 1, 2018 and have completed their work contract on Friday, May 31, 2019, working 6 months full time. The subsidy granted by LABORA, through funds from the SEPE (Public State Employment Service) amounted to 101,491.77 euros, 100% of the amount requested for the hiring of staff.
Through this program, the contract of three workers who performed the functions of maintenance of buildings in different municipal facilities such as social centers, administrative extensions or Palau d'Esports was formalized. It also hired eight second officers (masonry and painting) who have worked supporting the Municipal Technical Services and the Urban Scene Brigade in their usual tasks of maintenance and conditioning.
Among the actions carried out include painting works in Parque de l'Aigüera, as well as repairing the pavement. Painting works have also been carried out in other public spaces, such as Plaza del Castillo, and improvement works in the access areas of Hermitage of Sanz, among other actions.
