Eleven entrepreneurs join the Demium incubation program after the first AllStartUp Benidorm
The selected idea has been a bidding system to obtain better rooms and services in hotel establishments
Eleven entrepreneurs are incorporated today and for six months to Demium Benidorm incubation program after the first AllStartUp held this weekend in the city, and with which the Department of Innovation and Employment and Local Development have collaborated. Twenty selected candidates participated in this event, who during the weekend have worked in teams developing a business idea based on the proposals launched by the organization, which has provided training and advice.
Yesterday afternoon, in the Assembly Hall of the City Council, each team presented and defended their business idea before the jury, which chose as winner the idea 'BetRoom', a bidding system to obtain better rooms - marketing those that are empty- and services in hotel establishments. The mayor, Toni Pérez, was in charge of delivering the prize to the team composed of Pepe Martín, Olga Tomás and Rubén Molines, who thanks to this award are directly incorporated into the incubation program. To them are added eight other talents that have been individually selected for their passage through the AllStartUp.
The councilors for Innovation and Employment and Local Development, Aida García Mayor and Mónica Gómez, also attended the presentation of ideas and awards ceremony.
After the experience of the AllStartUp, the ten selected today begin their stage in the incubation program, which will be developed in the Tourist Lab coworking space. In this program, innovation projects linked to the Travel-Trech sector will be created that will help drive solutions related to smart and sustainable tourism of Benidorm. The intention is that in six months the working groups get projects mature enough to arouse the interest of investors that guarantee their development.
This incubation program aims to get emerging companies that become the spearhead, as well as export the consolidated and viable idea with companies based in Benidorm to generate employment and structure in the city. The objective of the initiative is to establish 5 to 10 companies a year so that in five or eight years we can have in Benidorm a business network of fifty or sixty companies that generate the order of half a thousand new jobs based on technology.
