The Educational Support Program for Primary students is finished
The Summer Educational Support Program (PAEV), of the Department of Education, has concluded today. Participating students have gathered at the Casa del Fester to receive from the mayor, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, the diplomas for their involvement and use.
In total, PAEV has served 56 students, 10 of them 100% subsidized by the City Council. The activities have been carried out between July 3 and today, August 28, in the CEIP Leonor Canalejas, divided into two shifts: from 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m., with children from 2nd, 5th and 6th grade of Primary; and from 11.30 to 13.30 hours, with students from 1st, 3rd and 4th. The subjects taught have been Language, Mathematics, English, Valencian language and Study Techniques.
Before delivering the diplomas, Toni Pérez recalled that behind each child of the PAEV is "the need of families and children to take advantage of the summer learning." The mayor stressed that the program "has a great team of professionals" that makes it possible for participants to "come two months of summer to have fun, learning." Finally, Pérez has thanked the trust that families place in the City Council to ensure that “all those boys and girls from Benidorm, are better citizens, have more training and can begin to develop their projects with greater guarantees ”.
With the PAEV, the Department of Education provides the necessary support to Primary students who have not obtained the best results during the course so that they can face the next one with sufficient guarantee. The program is also aimed at those who, even having achieved the objectives, wish to strengthen their knowledge during the period of school vacations.
