About thirty residents of Poniente confirm the fulfillment of the requests made through the Neighborhood Council
At Easter the road that gives access to Armada Española from Vía Parque will be open
The Councilor for Works, Public Space and Street Cleaning, José Ramón González de Zárate, has announced today the opening “before the end of the month or, at the latest, before Easter” of the new road that gives access from Vía Parque to Armada Española Avenue. This is the Unit of Action Number 1 of the West that includes the roads that descend from Rajadell area. A commissioning that will be a great "quality leap" for the area of La Cala.
González de Zárate has made these statements after the weekly meeting that he, the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Ana Pellicer, and the Neighborhood Council (CV), perform in the neighborhoods of the city. On this occasion, the councilors have met with about thirty members of the Association of Neighbors of Poniente and have been accompanied by the vice presidents of the CV, Teresa Garrido and Manuel Sánchez Notario.
González de Zárate has influenced the action carried out by the developer, TM, “managed by municipal technicians”. The opening of the vials will mean the entry into service of “more than 400 parking spaces, new sidewalks, accessibility, bike lane, led street lamps”. It will be, in short, a "totally new area" that will allow "much better access to the Poniente beach and clear Spanish Armada."
For his part, Ana Pellicer, has specified regarding the requests made by the association on the first visit, months ago, which have all been executed by the municipal services: street furniture, tile repair or Poniente walkway. The councilor has been very satisfied with the interest expressed by the neighbors that week after week join the visits to the neighborhoods. Pellicer has announced that next week, the meeting will be with the association of the Nicaragua Avenue and has dated people who are interested in participating at 10.00 in the morning, at the gates of the Residence of the Third Age and Day Center
