Benidorm Municipal Elementary Dance Conservatory has held its 2021-2022 End of Year Festival at Julio Iglesias Auditorium in Parque de l'Aigüera. More than 300 people, many of them relatives of the students, have gathered to enjoy the first major dance event in the city since the start of the pandemic.

Among the attendees, were the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, members of the corporation and the provincial deputy José Ramón González de Zárate. He did not want to miss the event and accompanied the director of the Conservatory, Mª Jesús Francés, to her teaching team and students.

Toni Pérez, before the start of the show, valued the "great work of a whole year" carried out by the Conservatory, which aims to "encourage that young people and some young people have the opportunity to learn about, love dance and delve into it ”.

The mayor recalled that dance "needs full and permanent dedication over time." Dance “makes people happy” and therefore “the “colossal effort” of the people who dance “and also of their families” must be recognized. “Dance –said the mayor¬– forms values, forms the body and forms the soul and all this is synthesized in a Conservatory that adds years, add courses and a faculty of teachers who dedicate themselves body and soul so that everything goes well".

After 7:00 p.m., the show began starring the students of the Middle Classical Grade who have staged 'Paquita/Bella durmiente' with music by Ludwig Minkus and Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky.
