The dance center of Mª José Moya in Benidorm will represent Spain in the world championship
Mª José Moya Dance Center in Benidorm will be the representative of Spain in the IDO International Dance Organization world championship, in the modality of Contemporary Dance and adult category, which will take place in December, in Poland. The center has obtained excellent results in the national competition of Performing Arts IDO held a few weeks ago in Villajoyosa where it won 12 prizes, including a first in 'Adults' category and a fourth in 'Baby'.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the mayor of Culture, Ana Pellicer, held a meeting this afternoon with Mª José Moya and the director of the center informed them that a festival is being organized at the Municipal Auditorium 'Óscar Esplá' in Parque de l'Aigüera, with the aim of defraying travel expenses and participation in the world championship. In the event, choreographies will be staged in various dance disciplines taught at the center: Spanish, classical, flamenco, contemporary, sevillanas, funky, break dance and hip-hop.
