The Cycle of Great Recitals organized by the Department of Culture of Benidorm City Council will bring the concert performer, writer, music and art critic, playwright and law graduate, Luis Agius, to the municipal Assembly Hall tomorrow, Friday. The concert will take place starting at 8 p.m. with the name 'Spain inside a piano', in what is intended to be a musical journey around our country from the 18th century to the 21st century.

The program will be divided into four 'journeys' and an epilogue. Thus, the first trip will begin in Valencia and the work 'Mediterránea' by Luis Agius himself, it will continue through Levante with 'Spanish Dance Number 2 Oriental' by Enrique Granados, and it will continue in Granada with the work of the same name by Albéniz and will end in Jaén with 'Mae de Olivos' by Agius.

The second trip will begin in Toledo with 'El Greco and Rilke in Toledo' by the author. The second stage of this trip will take you to Aranjuez, with the 'Sonata K.263' by Domenico Scarlatti and will end in Ávila with the work 'La Muralles del cielo', also by Luis Agius.

The third trip will feature the interpretation of three works by the concert artist himself. The first will take attendees to Ronda, with 'Fantasía rondeña'. Barcelona will follow with 'Atardecer en Park Güell' and will conclude in Cádiz with 'Sueños de Marinero'.

The last trip will pass through Cuenca and the piece 'Cuenca, balón del arte', then through 'Córdoba, lejana y sola: a tribute to Lorca', arriving in Madrid with the 'Poetic Waltzes' by Granados and ending in Galicia with 'Finisterre'.

The recital will conclude with 'España a vista de pájaro' by Scarlatti, with transcription and variations by Luis Agius.

Agius has performed as a pianist in major European cities since 2002 with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the AECID and the Cervantes Institute. He has also published two plays; 'Todos somos Albert Camus' and 'Mi nombre es Sara' and released two others: 'El caminante y la muerte' and 'Caravaggio'. Luis Agius is also a member of the recently created Spanish Academy of Music.
