Culture resumes children's activities this Friday with the first performance of ‘Teatre d’Estiu’ in Foietes Park
The Department of Culture resumes this Friday, July 10, outdoor activities for children and family with the cycle "Theater d 'Estiu" in the Foietes Park. The mayor of Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, recalled that "this cycle, a classic in the summer program of Benidorm, is focused on cultural and playful revitalization through theater among the little ones."
Pérez explained that "this edition of 'Teatre d'Estiu' has adapted to the new situation generated by Covid-19, adapting the venue and the development of the activity to the health safety regulations for holding outdoor shows free". In this way, “we have limited the capacity of Foietes Park to a maximum of 200 people, guaranteeing at all times the minimum distance of 1.5 meters, both in the arrangement of the 150 chairs and in the stands". In addition, "there will be a single access to the enclosure through the main gate of Foietes Park located at Virgen de la Almudena street, and a hydrogel will be made available to attendees." To access the site, the use of a mask will be mandatory.
As the mayor has advanced, ‘Teatre d’Estiu’ opens with ‘Campamento diversion’, a show by the company Improvement “aimed at an audience from 3 years who will actively participate in the creation and evolution of history.” Thus, during the 70 minutes that the show lasts, the children will immerse themselves in a camp to try to become explorers through games and improvisations, something they will achieve if they learn three basic principles: imagine, help and games.
Admission to 'Campamento diversión ’is free until full capacity is reached. The activity will begin at 9:00 p.m., and the doors of the venue will open 30 minutes before.
The second installment of ‘Teatre d’Estiu’ will be on July 31.
