Concert of processional marches by the Youth Band of Benidorm Unión Musical
The Youth Band of Benidorm Musical Union, directed by Rafa Gómez, has performed tonight a concert of processional marches in Sant Jaume and Santa Anna's Church, within the special program that, on the occasion of Holy Week, has been organized by the Department of Culture.
Among the attendees, the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez; the provincial deputy, José Ramón González de Zárate, and other members of the corporation formed the institutional representation in an event that has had public support that, at all times, has complied with the health protocol and the mandatory use of the facial mask.
With the march 'Death is not the end' by Cesáreo Gararáin, the concert began, which continued with the premiere of 'Misericordia', an original piece precisely by the director of the Unió Musical Youth Band, Rafa Gómez.
Next, 'Christus' by Joan P. de Trazegnies was performed; Crucifixus, by José Alberto Pina; 'Forgive them', by David Rivas; 'Osanna in Excelsis, by Óscar Navarro; Light by Rafa Gomez; to end with the march 'Jerusalem', by José Vélez.
