From Wednesday 11 to mid-March the street market is moved to the fairgrounds to avoid interfering with the works
The company that is carried out the works of Foietes Park has advanced to next week the work of planting and landscaping of the green areas. Some actions that in principle were planned for next February and that force to move again the Wednesday market to the fairground. The councilor for Commerce, Ana Pellicer, explained that "we have been asked by the company that from this Wednesday, January 11, and until mid-March, the street market is not installed in Mercasa not to interfere in the works." Pellicer clarified that "we have tried to make the market compatible with the landscaping work but it has not been possible, because although the planting work can be relatively fast, we must respect the process of germination of the lawn and settlement of all species." "Technically," she added, "we recommend avoiding people traffic so that the entire landscaping process is done in the most optimal conditions and the resulting green areas are better." Pellicer apologized to citizens "for the disorder that implies a new transfer of the market in such a short time". The councilwoman indicated that the work of planting and landscaping are compatible with the use of Mercasa as parking, so that the parking areas will remain operative.
