The Commission of Festes Majors Patronals inaugurates the '9th of October Traditional Fair' in the streets Gambo and Martínez Alejos
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles; the president of the Festival Committee, Antonio Vicente Fuster; and the Queen and Ladies of the Major Festivities have inaugurated this morning the '9th of October Traditional Fair' organized by the commission on the occasion of the celebration of the Valencian Community Day, in a ceremony also attended by the Senator Agustín Almodóbar and numerous councilors of the municipal corporation of Benidorm.
The fair, located in the streets Gambo and Martínez Alejos, will be open during these three days with more than 30 stalls with products typical of the Valencian Community: from Táberna sausages, chocolates from La Vila Joiosa or ceramics from Polop de la Marina. The Fira will have a bar at popular prices which will also offer dishes from the traditional gastronomy; as well as a place where you can buy the comic book that has edited the commission about the Tower of Les Caletes, the work of Jaume Fuster and Joan Fuster from Benidorm.
The events scheduled for the Day of the Valencian Community will continue tomorrow Sunday with the concert offered by the 'Musical Society' L'Illa de Benidorm 'on Gambo Street, which will start at 6 pm. Next, there will be a parade with animation by the Cultural Association l'Esportí.
The Valencian Community Day, October 9th, the events will begin at 11am with the celebration of the Institutional Plenary at Plaza del Castillo, where the Cultural Distinction Benidorm 2017 will be presented to Bárbara Alemany Barceló. In this act will be the Musical Union of Benidorm the one in charge to interpret the hymn of Spain during the raising of flags, and those of Benidorm and the Valencian Community at the conclusion of the act. Then the official visit to the 9th October Traditional Fair will be held, where the queens and the Ladies of Honor will dance the traditional "peuet". The program will conclude in the afternoon, at 6 pm, on Gambo Street, with the performance of the work "La Conquesta de València a l'any 1238", by students from CEIP "Ausiàs March" in Benidorm.
Antonio Vicente Fuster, said that the 9 th October Traditional Fair will consist of more than 30 stalls, all with typical products of the Valencian Community: Táberna sausages, chocolates from La Vila Joiosa or Polop de la Marina pottery.
