Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals presented its Official Magazine last night in the Assembly Hall of the Town Hall, thus initiating the countdown for the next November festivities. The presentation was attended by the mayor, Toni Pérez; the councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles; members of the municipal corporation; the president of the Comissió, Francisco Marín; the queens, Fátima Carrobles and Anna Calbo, and their courts of honor; the president of l'Associació de Penyes Verge del Sofratge, Dani Luque; the president of honor in perpetuity of the Festes Majors Partonals, Francisco Llorens; the standard-bearer of the Fiestas 2017, José Ramón Francés; the Camareres and Mariners of the Mare de Déu; Costalers of Sant Jaume; principals of the Commission; and principals of honor.
The Official Magazine, with the cover of the local artist Marina Sanchís, collects the activities developed throughout the year by the Comissió, as well as the program of events for the upcoming festivals and literary collaborations related to the city, its history and the festivities. The mayor stressed that they are "very valuable collaborations" that collect "memories" and "experiences" that allow us to capture "the history of Benidorm" and be "a reminder of where we come from, who we are and where we want to go".
The mayor applauded the Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals, "which has given his body and soul" to the festivities throughout the year and has presented his Official Magazine in advance. Finally, he had an emotional memory for two members of the Comissió who died this year, Fina Cano and Carmen Pérez, whom "we will miss in each act".
