The Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals 2019 will celebrate for the third consecutive year 'Mercat de Pasqua' on 13 and 14 April from 10.30 am, organized in collaboration with the Department of Fiestas and in which attendees can find typical products of the shops of the city, of the Valencian Community, and traditional foods. 'Mercat de Pasqua' will be held in Gambo and Martínez Alejos streets as in previous years.
The councillor of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles commented that "the market has been developed with great public success in the past editions. We will be able to taste the 'mona de pascua', the chocolate eggs and other typical products of this festivity ". In addition, coinciding with the arrival of Easter, the councillor has announced that "the typical palms will be sold so that all those who visit us can acquire them for the procession of Palm Sunday". He also called for "the people of Benidorm to come to the market stalls this weekend and to try out all the products on offer".
For his part Roberto Carretero, president of the Comissió de Festes explained that "for anyone who wants to buy the palms there will be a stand all week in the Palmera and Boca del Calvari and another on Thursday at the church square . During these two days, people who come to the fair can taste all kinds of products: sausages, salted meats, oils, typical wines, a variety of bakery, chocolates, wicker, fruit, jams and all kinds of liquors in the area at popular prices.
