The City Council will channel humanitarian aid from Benidorm to the Ukrainian people

The mayor offers the Consulate the municipal means and highlights Benidorm's solidarity "with those who suffer the most"

The City Council is going to channel the humanitarian aid that the population of Benidorm wants to contribute to attend to the victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The mayor, Toni Pérez, has pointed out that "we need to order the wave of solidarity that is taking place in Benidorm and Spain towards the Ukrainian people so that this aid is as effective as possible, reaches the victims quickly and safely, and meet their main needs.
For this reason, "after talks with the Ukrainian Consulate in Valencia this afternoon, starting tomorrow we will be transferring the most urgent needs to serve the civilian population." "Depending on these needs -the mayor has deepened- the City Council will deploy the logistics of both facilities, means and personnel necessary so that people from Benidorm can materialize their collaboration".
Once these needs are established, and material aid, the City Council will inform the public of the collection points and times. In this regard, the mayor has recorded that “Benidorm has the RAC (Collective Help Network) for telephone assistance and guidance -900701322-, and a wide network of municipal offices distributed throughout the city; as well as the altruism and action of groups such as 'Business Meetings' that are already mobilizing, so we are going to try to give the greatest facilities to all those people, companies or groups that want to collaborate and show their solidarity with the Ukrainian people ".
Thus, Pérez pointed out, "we hope that we can quickly make available to the Ukrainian people, through its Consulate in Valencia, Benidorm's signs of solidarity to alleviate as much as possible the suffering of the civilian population of this country, which is experiencing an unjustified invasion these days”.
Likewise, he has highlighted "the solidarity of the people of Benidorm who, at this time, as has already been shown before, is always willing to help those who suffer the most".
