Ana Pellicer closes the annual meeting of the businessmen of tourist apartments
The first deputy mayor and acting mayor, Ana Pellicer, this morning has closed the annual meeting of the Association of Companies of Tourist Apartments of the Costa Blanca and Benidorm (Aptur) thanking the work they have been deploying since its foundation, 15 years ago, "in defense of principles and values closely related to the excellence, legality and quality in the offer of our tourist destination". Ana Pellicer closed the annual meeting of Aptur held in the assembly hall of Invat.tur with the regional secretary of Tourism, Françesc Colomer, the President of Aptur, Miguel Angel Sotillos and José Mancebo, of the Tourism Board.
Pellicer excused the absence of the mayor, Toni Pérez, for being in Torremolinos representing Benidorm in a meeting of the Alliance of Tourist Municipalities of Sun and Beach (AMT) and encouraged the companies that manage tourism to continue working on the line they have since its foundation in 2002, "evolving in the face of the challenges and transformations of the tourist market" and in favor of a sector of tourism that she described as "unquestionable relevance for our destination".
Pellicer also stressed the contribution of Aptur "in the promotion of the associative culture in both Benidorm and Costa Blanca, becoming a qualified interlocutor before the administrations with tourist competitions", remembering that the association was born with only ten companies and today it already has half hundred, representing more than 3,000 homes and more than 15,000 places.
She also stressed that "since the beginning of its activity, Aptur has always shown its willingness to contribute its experience to the overall management of tourism in the Region of Valencia, and for this," she remarked, "we are proud to know that , since 2014, represents your sector in the Consell de Turisme de la Comunitat Valenciana, the highest representative body of the sector in the Region ".
She also recalled that since the birth of Aptur, Benidorm City Council has maintained a close and fruitful cooperation with its leaders, participating jointly in national and international promotions, promoting awareness-raising campaigns aimed at owners and users to combat intrusion and illegal activity, and actively participating in each and every one of the initiatives in which they have been required. She reiterated the support and commitment of Benidorm City Council with Aptur and added that the challenge now to make Benidorm the first Smart Tourist Destination should be a job and a requirement for all, as well as increase the levels of tourism quality in the Destination through the SICTED Program.
