The service will offer personalized advice to help reduce energy bills, access aid, or promote self-consumption

The City Council launches the Energy Office to advise citizens and businesses

21 August 2025
El Ayuntamiento pone en marcha la Oficina de la Energía para asesorar a ciudadanos y empresas

Care will be provided in person and online, by appointment, and will be provided to a neighbourhood each week.

Benidorm City Council will launch an Energy Office to advise residents and small local businesses on energy matters, to help them reduce their energy bills, access various aid programs, and promote self-consumption. Councillor for Urban Scene, Francis Muñoz, explained that this Energy Office "is a new, free information and training space, aimed at both individuals and businesses, where we will provide personalised advice based on the questions, needs, or concerns of each user." Muñoz also emphasised that this initiative is part of "the various actions that the City Council has been developing for years to achieve a more sustainable, greener Benidorm with a better quality of life for our residents and visitors." He therefore considered it "a great opportunity to continue influencing this green transition."

The new Energy Office will be located on the fourth floor of City Hall, in the Smart Office, and will offer in-person service every Monday between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., by appointment. However, "to make it as accessible as possible to all Benidorm residents, the service will be mobile, so in-person service will be moved each week to a municipal public building to facilitate access in the different neighbourhoods for all interested parties," explained Francis Muñoz.

The office will launch on September 8th at City Hall and will be installed in the municipal administrative offices of Maravall, La Cala, and Rincón de Loix in the following weeks. To use the office, interested residents or businesses must make an appointment by calling 672065981 or emailing oficinadelaenergia@benidorm.org.

Likewise, online advice will also be available every Wednesday and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.A  prior appointment is required, following the same procedure.

Among the functions of this Energy Office, staff will offer users personalised assistance for optimising their energy bills; information on various public aid programs they can access; advice and assistance in processing the Energy Social Bonus and the Thermal Social Bonus; information on local energy communities; and guidance on electric mobility, among others.

Muñoz believes that, with this measure, "we are offering residents and businesses the opportunity to receive free, personalised advice to improve the energy consumption of their homes or small businesses," encouraging those interested to make an appointment to use the service.
