El Ayuntamiento incorpora a 20 jóvenes más menores de 30 años contratados con fondos europeos

The City of Benidorm has incorporated today 20 young people under 30 years hired through the EMPUJU program, financed with European funds, and that for a year they will provide services in different municipal departments. In total, the City Council has hired 38 young people under the programs EMCUJU (18 graduates) and EMPUJU (20 young people), aimed at promoting the employment of unemployed children under 30. Some programs that are included in the 'Avalem Joves +' plan of the Valencian Employment and Training Service (LABORA) and that are co-financed by the European Union through the Operational Program of the European Social Fund (ESF) of the Valencian Community 2014-2020 .

The 20 young beneficiaries of EMPUJU program are grouped into two modalities: telephone operator-receptionist (12 workers) and maintenance workers of municipal facilities (8). This program is funded with 320,084.03 euros, from the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative.

For 12 months these 20 young people will serve in different departments and / or municipal departments such as Urban Planning, Urban Scene, Education, Culture, Human Resources, Environment, Citizen Service, Employment and Local Development, Sports and Printing.

They are added to the beneficiaries of the EMCUJU program, who joined their positions last week, and who will develop their functions in the municipal Smart Office and in the departments of Education, Social Welfare or Information Technology, among others. For the EMCUJU program, the City Council received a grant of 289,045.19 euros.

This morning, the Councilor for Employment and Local Promotion, Mónica Gómez has welcomed these young people in an informative talk prior to joining their positions. When drawing the profiles for these 38 hires, priority has been given to positions linked to the fields of social care and innovation and sustainability; as well as to reinforce different areas of municipal management and the care of the urban scene
