The City Council awards grants to entities that organize the Major Festivities

Benidorm City Council has today made effective the municipal subsidy to entities that are responsible for organizing the Major Festivities and representing the two festive groups: mayorales and peñistas. The mayor, Toni Pérez, and the councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, have delivered today two checks to the president of the Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals, Antonio Vicente Fuster, and his counterpart of the Association of Penyes Verge del Sofratge, Mariano Nájera. In total, the municipal contribution amounts to 185,000 euros. Of these, 150,000 euros are received by the Comissió, while l'Associació de Penyes manages the remaining 35,000 euros.
