The presentation of 'Amix Benidorm' will be held in the Auditorium of the consistory at 19.00, as announced by the councilor of the area, María Jesús Pinto. The councilwoman explained that the aim of this 'app' is to get more direct contact between residents and the administration and therefore"to be able to solved more effectively all matters affecting citizens and residents of Benidorm". Pinto argued that "public participation should benefit from technological progress", especially in a time when "the use of these tools is massive". The councilwoman advanced a few months ago, that the functions of this 'app' is to "facilitate easy connection of citizens with their neighborhood representatives" and enable "the permanent contact between the members of the entities" and provide official information, incidents or activities of the Neighborhood Council and associations. There will be also discussion forums to obtain feedback and suggestions from citizens on issues that arise, and to address the problems of the different neighborhoods. The implementation of this application, available on Play Store and Apple Store, is framed within the Plan of Development and Improvement that the City Hall should develop according to the Regulation of Citizen Participation.
