With the children's sailing competition, Benidorm's Nautical Christmas comes to an end

The second phase of the forty-eighth edition of the Nautical Christmas Sailing organized by Benidorm Nautical Club in collaboration with the Sports Department and the Valencian Community Sailing Federation, has ended with the Children's Sailing competition in waters of the Bay.

Throughout the weekend, 110 sailors from clubs from all over the Valencian territory have disputed the tournament that is computable for the preparation of the teams that will represent the Valencian Community in national competitions.

On this occasion, the competition has focused on Optimist B class, in Under 11 years and Under 16 years categories, both female and male. Atia Hoyo, from Real Club Náutico de Valencia, reached the first position in the category of women's under 11; Gonzalo Ballester, from Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja, in Men's 11.

In the women's U16, Valentina Belso, from Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja, won; and Pepe Andrés García, from Real Club Náutico de Valencia, in the men's. Finally, the Sailing Cuak club trophy also went to those from Torrevieja.

The councilors Aida García Mayor and Jaime Jesús Pérez have been in charge of delivering the awards to the winners, together with the presidents of the Valencian Community Sailing Federation and the president of Benidorm Yacht Club, Carlos Torrado and Jaume Samper.
