The blue flags of Benidorm already wave in Levante, Poniente and Mal Pas

The European Environmental Education Foundation award certifies the quality of beaches

The three beaches of Benidorm (Levante, Poniente and Mal Pas) have one more time from this morning, their three blue flags, the award given annually by the European Foundation for Environmental Education. With this flag, the quality of its bathing waters, the environmental management, the services, facilities and the information that is offered to the users is certified.

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, along with Beach Councilor Lorenzo Martínez and the companions of the corporation Ana Pellicer, Arturo Cabrillo, María Jesús Pinto and María Teresa Águila, together with technical staff of the Department of Playas, have performed this morning the traditional hoisting of the flag that this year I took place for the first time on the beach of Mal Pas.

Benidorm renews year after year its blue flags and this "comes to demonstrate," said Toni Pérez, "the quality of our beaches, our sands and the care with which they are treated." The mayor has made reference to the "tireless work" of the Department of Beaches and has highlighted the dedication of all concession companies and public officials "that make available to our beaches the best and the greatest of their efforts." With the new flags on Levante, Poniente and Mal Pas Benidorm have already demonstrated, "it is still a benchmark in quality" in what constitutes "our greatest wealth and our greatest treasure," the mayor finished.
