'Benidorm XII' Employment Workshop trains 20 workers in building and civil works, administrative tasks and management
This year in the XII Benidorm Employment Workshop, 20 unemployed people are being trained thanks to a grant from Labora of 532.480,80 euros, which will allow the attendees to get the professional certificate and enable them to get into the labour market
The 20 students of the Employment Workshop are divided into two groups of 10. Each group is formed into a different professional family. Thus, the first of them does so in the branch of Building and Civil Works and the second in Administration and Management. The workshop began on December 30 and will continue until December 29 of this year. In total, there will be 1,920 hours of training.
According to the workshop program, participants in the Building and Civil Works course will receive training in Auxiliary operations of rigid finishes and urbanization and Pavements and urbanization masonry. In the case of the Administration and Management branch, training will focus on auxiliary operations of administrative and general services and administrative activities in the relationship with the client.
Mónica Gómez explained that throughout the year the participants “will combine theoretical training with practice, so that during the 12 months that the workshop lasts they will be able to deploy in the field the knowledge they acquire in the classroom.”
With this there are now twelve Employment Workshops that the City Council has promoted to improve the employability of the participating people, "being aware that the labour market is increasingly demanding and demands profiles that accredit formal training or training "like those that the 'Benidorm XII' students can obtain at the end of the program," the councillor concluded.
