Benidorm will host the 1st Youth Forum in order to become a meeting place and annual debate
The Assembly Hall of Benidorm City Council will host on December 23 the first edition of Jove Forum organized by the Youth Council, which was created with the purpose of becoming a place for meeting and debate, on an annual basis, on the needs, problems and collection of opinions of the young people of the city "encouraging their participation and involvement in the development of local policies in this area," explained the Councilor for Youth, Jaime Jesús Pérez.
In this Forum, work tables will be configured according to the interest shown by the participants during the registration, in which problems and needs will be addressed with their possible solutions or suggestions.
Thus, some of the topics that will be analyzed in these working groups have already been outlined, such as: Youth communication and social networks, Youth autonomy (training, work and housing), Youth in action (activities), Youth participation (associationism and volunteering) and Youth Commitment (health, sexuality and values).
Associations and entities, as well as interested young people, have been used to organize the forum, with whom a motor team was formed, which began with a first meeting on November 23. The second will be held in mid-December.
The Forum will begin at 5 pm with the reception and welcome of the participants. At 5:15 p.m. the Benidorm Youth Plan will be presented.
