The road that will link Nacional 332 with Avenida de la Comunidad Valenciana is influenced by Partial Plan 3/1
Benidorm will have a new East access
95% of the land to be expropriated by mutual agreement
Provided in the General Plan of 1990, in force, Benidorm City Council is going to connect the National Highway 332 with the Avenida de la Comunidad Valenciana.
The Project, approved in plenary session on November 30, passed the Environmental Impact Assessment, carried out by the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Climate Emergency and Ecological Transition, and the period of public exposure, to which it had already been submitted in November 2017, without allegations being formalized.
It has sectorial reports from the General Directorate of the Natural Environment and Environmental Assessment, which issued an Environmental Impact Statement on March 13, 2020 and was published in the DOGV on December 7. It has reports from the Municipal Architect and the Senior Technician for Legal Affairs, dated January 11, 2021, which culminated a process that already has the status of authorized in a bureaucratic procedure already finished.
The most significant thing, said the Councilor for Urban Planning Lourdes Caselles, is that "this road is a determining factor for the development of the Partial Plan 3/1 and represents a new access for Benidorm. The next step, said the mayor, "the tender that is contemplated in the 2021 Budgets."
The councilor praised the good work of the municipal professionals and the management of the Government team for this urban development that includes a link roundabout and the connecting road; a two-lane road in each direction of traffic that, insisted Caselles, "will decongest traffic in the area, reduce the accident rate and offer a penetration route, avoiding that to access Sierra Helada you have to cross a good part of the city center"
The action also includes the execution of acoustic screens, as well as transversal drainage works, wildlife crossings, wooded and shrubby roundabouts, with planting of native and / or adapted species, slopes and an underground passage through which the route will run. The land through which the link road between the Nacional 332 and the Avenida Comunidad Valenciana will run have been obtained through expropriation, highlighting the councilor that "in 95% of the chaos by mutual agreement, the owners aware of the importance of the road "By giving viability to PP 1/3 that will house the Shopping Center and" the plots of tertiary and industrial use so much in demand right now ".
Caselles concluded by pointing out that this new access to Benidorm will benefit everyone because "it accommodates the demands of Public Works to activate the Partial Plan 3/1" while reporting to the city "a new fast access route that avoids circulatory congestion by facilitating traffic communication towards Sierra Helada area and the accesses from Altea ”.
