The City Council will install collection containers in the surroundings of the municipal branches
Benidorm will extend the campaign 'Caps for a new life' to all neighborhoods
In cooperation with the initiative of the SEUR Foundation, which allocates the amount from the recycling of caps to help minors with diseases not covered by the health system
Benidorm City Council is going to extend the solidarity campaign 'Caps for a new life' to all the neighbourhoods of the city. This has been advanced today by the Councilor for the Environment and Health, Mónica Gómez, who recalled that "the City Council collaborates with this campaign of the SEUR Foundation, whose ultimate objective is to help minors suffering from diseases not covered by ordinary health systems. ”.
The dynamics of this campaign consist of "collecting plastic caps and delivering them to a specialized company that is in charge of recycling them, turning each ton of caps into money that is allocated to minors who need it."
Gómez has pointed out that "the residents of Benidorm always turn to solidarity initiatives and that is why we want to make it easier for them to do so in this case as well, bringing the campaign closer to all the neighbourhoods of our city." For this, "in the coming weeks we are going to install collection containers in the surroundings of the five municipal branches: Maravall, Beniardá, Rincón de Loix -Juan Fuster Zaragoza avenue, Els Tolls and La Cala -Secretariat Juan Antonio Baldoví street-".
The councillor recalled that "since yesterday, plastic caps can already be deposited in the collection container that is installed on l'Aigüera avenue, next to the Town Hall and in front of Hondo street".
