Benidorm will complete next week the delivery of masks to the entire population
Benidorm City Council will complete the delivery of masks to the entire registered population next week, once this material has already been supplied to the schoolchildren and youth population and people born until 1979, as reported today by the mayor, Toni Pérez. As in previous installments, the distribution of masks will be made on different days according to the age range of the population in the six points provided by the City Council.
The mayor has pointed out that “prevention continues to be the best way to fight Covid-19, and within these measures the use of masks is essential. Hence, the City Council we have tried to promote that all people registered in our city have access to this protection system. We started by serving the school and youth population, and have progressively expanded this municipal initiative to cover 100% of the local population, helping to make their outgoings safer. ”
The operation for this new phase of mask delivery will be the same as in the previous stages. Thus, each population group will be able to pick up their mask on the day established for their age group at the nearest authorized point of residence: Casa del Fester, social centers: 'José Llorca Linares' and La Torreta, and CEIPs: El Murtal, Ausiàs March and Els Tolls.
According to the calendar set by the City Council, on Monday the 8th the material will be delivered to people registered in Benidorm born between 1971 and 1978. On Tuesday, it will be the turn of those born from 1963 to 1970. The distribution will resume on Thursday the 11th for those born between 1954 and 1962; while on Friday the distribution will be closed with those born in 1953 and previous years.
Municipal staff and volunteers from the Collective Aid Network (#RAC) will attend the six authorized points from 10:00 to 13:00 and 17:00 to 19:00.
Within the prevention measures against Covid-19, the Government of Spain has established the mandatory use of this protection system for people 6 years of age and older in any closed space for public use or that is open to the public, where it is not possible to maintain an interpersonal safety distance of at least two meters.
