Next week Benidorm Town Hall will complete the asphalting of the first line of La Cala and the extension of Avenida de Beniardá. The councilman of Mobility in functions, José Ramón González de Zárate, has informed that "these works of milling and asphalting are included in the project of 'Improvement of Universal Accessibility and Sustainability of Benidorm', co-financed by the City Council and the Provincial Council from Alicante. To these performances will also be added the latest work on Avenida Jaime I.
Specifically, the section between the train track and the second roundabout of the CV-70 will be paved; the section of Vicente Llorca Alós avenue between l'Alfàs del Pi and El Murtal streets - last month it was acted up to Aigües Street; and the crossings of the paving works of Jaime I.
De Zárate has asked the neighbors "patience", since "all these actions will be carried out between Sunday and Wednesday at night", to affect the minimum possible traffic. "We talked about points with a lot of vehicle traffic," he argued. In fact, for example, the capacity indicates that on a daily basis Beniardá Avenue "between 16,000 and 17,000 vehicles", so acting in daytime could collapse access to Benidorm from the variant and the CV-70. In addition, he added that it is advisable to make the asphalting before the vehicle flows increase due to the arrival of the high season.
According to the forecast of the Department of Mobility, the night of Sunday June 16 and Monday 17 will proceed to the milling and asphalting of the extension of the avenue of Beniardá. In addition, Jaime I Avenue will also be milled, which will be paved next to Beniardá on Tuesday night. That same Tuesday and Wednesday night will act already in Vicente Llorca Alós, which will be closed to traffic on the stretch between Aigües and Murtal, allowing access to residents by one street or another depending on the development of work.
Apart from this asphalt, De Zárate has announced that the City Council, through the Department of Urban Scene, also act soon in the final stretch of Paseo de Tamarindos, "one of the most visited by tourists and residents in La Cala" . The councillor has detailed that it will "improve the image and safety" of this point with the installation of "seven points of light", "the asphalting of about 150 meters" of surface, and "the cleaning and painting of the balustrade "
