Benidorm will collaborate with FVMP and Servef in the program of Teams for the Search of Employment based on 'coaching'

Benidorm colaborará con la FVMP y el Servef en el programa de Equipos para la Búsqueda de Empleo basado en el ‘coaching’

The City Council attends the request of both entities and will make available to the program two rooms and a warehouse

Benidorm Town Council will collaborate with the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FVMP) and the Valencian Employment and Training Service (Servef) in the program for Employment and Entrepreneurship Search Teams prepared by both entities, aimed at improving employability of young people without work and who is based on 'coaching'.

The mayor, Toni Pérez, today has signed the "commitment of collaboration" sent on Thursday by the FVMP to the City Council and which had to be initialed before 4 April. In this document, which will be reported as an extraordinary office on Monday in an information commission, the City Council puts at the disposal of the program a common room, an individual room and a warehouse during the six months of the teams' activity.

In addition, in the same document, "it agrees to lend its adhesion to the Framework Agreement of Collaboration that is being prepared between Servef and FVMP for the implementation and development of these Search and Entrepreneurship Teams".

Pérez said that "despite the lack of time, the urgency with which the FVMP and Servef have required our collaboration and although we do not know all the details, we have not hesitated for a moment to be interested in this program as we do with all initiatives aimed at our young people have more and better possibilities and opportunities to find a job or to undertake.

According to the information transferred by FVMP, this action will be co-financed by the European Social Fund, through the Youth Employment Operative Program and the Regional Operational Program of the Region of Valencia. The contract that Servef will tender for this service will last for 9 months, and the working time of the participants will not be less than five months.

The Job Search and Employability Teams will consist of 15 to 20 unemployed people who are led by a personal coach to enhance their skills and increase their chances of finding employment, either on their own, on behalf of others, or well joining others and starting communities of goods, cooperatives, etcetera.
