It is a neighborhood demand included in the campaign 'A pie de calle'
Benidorm will begin next week the asphalting and placement of new lighting in Camí Pla del Cuartel
Benidorm City Council will begin on Monday the asphalting and installation of lighting, until now non-existent, in the Camí Pla del Cuartel, in the l'Horta area, thus responding to a neighborhood request formulated a few months ago.
For this reason, the 'A pie de Calle' campaign has traveled to this area this Thursday to inform the residents of the actions that will be carried out in a concise time. There have been the councilors of Public Space, José Ramón González de Zárate, of Citizen Participation, Ana Pellicer, and of Youth, Jaime Jesús Pérez, together with the vice president of the Neighborhood Council, Antonio Zamora, and residents of this neighborhood.
González de Zárate explained that this action "is within the accessibility program and it is an area with a school and many neighbors." The mayor specified that the work will begin on Monday "with the preparation for the asphalt and the corrugated for the wiring and lighting bases." Lighting that this path lacks "and that is about interventions claimed by the residents of this place."
Finally, the mayor recalled the residents who "about six months ago asked us in writing for the City Council to install lighting and pave the road to improve safety." "And that is what we are doing" he concluded.
