Benidorm unlocks the advertising ordinance and the implementation of petrol stations of different fuels
Benidorm City Council will take the final step to unlock the advertising ordinance and the free implementation of service stations of different fuels in the city, mainly renewable energy.
This Friday will be ruled in the Planning Commission on the proposal of the councillor of the area, Lourdes Caselles, so that “this month the full modification number 20 of the General Urban Planning (PGOU) will be approved in full that will allow green light to the advertising ordinance and expand the floors suitable for new fuel supply stations, and more specifically gas stations, electric cars and natural gas supply ”.
Caselles recalled that this modification was initially approved in April and during the public exhibition period two allegations have been received by the Provincial Coastal Service and the company Iberdrola. In the agreement that will be voted on November 25 in full "what we do is partially contemplate those allegations within the articulation of urban planning standards", which "conform to the current reality."
The owner of Urban Planning has indicated that in parallel to the processing of the punctual modification of the PGOU “it has been working on the drafting of the advertising ordinance, which is currently very advanced, and only waiting for this approval to be approved modification to be able to submit it to the plenary and public information ”. An ordinance, she stressed, "contemplates the insertion of advertising in new media that emerged in recent years, such as pantallas LEDs' screens or other facilities, as well as in the medians of buildings."
As regards the implementation of new service stations, Caselles has indicated that tertiary sectors, such as the APR-3 or the industrial estate, will be declared fit to host this type of infrastructure, while “the promenades will be free of this type of supplies ”, since we want to“ continue promoting pedestrianization and the absence of vehicles ”.
The councilor has advanced that "the enhancement of the use of renewable energy for transport" will be complemented by a Sustainable Electric Mobility Plan ".
