Benidorm starts on Saturday the programming of ‘BeniNadal’ with the inauguration of the Christmas Square

Benidorm starts this Saturday, November 30, the programming of ‘BeniNadal’ fair with the opening at 18.30 of the Christmas Square, which as every year will be installed at Plaza SSMM Reyes de España. From this Saturday to January 6, activities, shows and workshops will take place both in the Christmas Square and in the Christmas House, which will be located in Hort de Colón Museum from December 6. The Councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, explained that “this year we wanted to take Christmas activities also to l'Hort de Colón, a space that is already associated with family leisure since during the summer afternoons it hosts workshops and shows for the smaller ones that always have very good reception ”.

Carrobles has pointed out that “we have placed a lot of enthusiasm in this Christmas House”, in which “the monumental Bethlehem made by the teacher Juana Moreno of  'Amics del Belén' Association of Benidorm will be installed, and where a collection will also be exhibited of "more than 200 microbelenes" given for the occasion by Francisco Llorens.

The councillor said that “the activities at the Christmas square and the Christmas House are designed for children to enjoy with their families. That is why, until Christmas holidays begin, the programming will take place from Friday to Sunday and will be extended to every day of the week in the morning and afternoon when children start their Christmas school holidays.

Carrobles has indicated that "as in previous editions, the Christmas Square will have attractions, inflatables and an ice rink, which this year will have a larger size." As regards programming, "there will be performances of children's characters, dance and carol shows, and animations." In addition, theatrical and magic performances, dances, storytelling, animations, and ‘swing’ workshops, theater or crafts are planned at the Christmas House.

The programming of ‘BeniNadal’ is completed with the inauguration of the Christmas lighting, which will be the afternoon of December 6, coinciding with the opening of the Christmas House. Carrobles said that "we maintain the reinforcement of the artistic lighting that we started last year in different neighborhoods of Benidorm." Also on December 6, a Playmobil Bethlehem “of almost 1,000 pieces that will delight the little ones” will be inaugurated in l’Espai d’Art of the City Hall ”; and on Sunday the 8th the traditional Bethlehem of the ACR La Barqueta will open at the headquarters of the entity.

Special events such as ‘la Nit de Nadal’, the New Year’s Eve celebration or the Great Three Kings Parade will be added to this program.

Likewise, on the sports level, also at these Christmas dates, the Valencia Pilota Nadal Trophy ‘Memorial Vicent Pérez Devesa’ will be held; and the XI Christmas Children's Sports Fair, the XLVI Nautical Christmas and the traditional San Silvestre will be held.

Also as in previous years, the Independent Association of Merchants (AICO) will set the Gambo street with Christmas themes from December 6 to January 6; while Elche Park will host the Christmas Market, from this Sunday until January 6.
