The City Council agreed with the school community when to replace it before classes resume after Christmas


Completed works to change the roof of the municipal warehouse


Benidorm City Council is working to try to expedite the maximum administrative procedures to replace the fiber cement roof of the gym and the school lunchroom in Vasco Núnez de Balboa school as soon as possible. The mayor and delegate of Education, Toni Pérez, has reported that the action was ruled yesterday and the resolution was approved for an expenditure amounting to 24,075.37 euros. In addition, the company in charge of the work has already asked the Regional Government. When relevant authorizations and approval of the work plan is available, the mayor has indicated the commitment of the government team with the educational community of Vasco Núñez de Balboa undertake the works, trying to disrupt least possible school hours". The mayor stressed the diligence with which the City Council is acting after last October 4 with the Territorial Board of Education to authorize the Council Council to remove and replace the roof. In addition, Pérez announced that the works to remove the asbestos cement roof of the municipal warehouse have been completed, as have noted the councilors for Urban Scene and Human Resources, José Ramón González de Zárate and Jesús Carrobles. The old asbestos cement roofs have been replaced by a sandwich panel, which also allow natural light in this municipal facility where Technical Services work.
