From May 10 to 14, the 66th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will be celebrated, whose venue will be the Italian city of Turin. Spain participates with the winning song in Benidorm Fest that was held in Benidorm last January, "SloMo", defended by the singer Chanel.

The second semifinal of Benidorm Fest achieved RTVE the audience leadership in its time slot -1.7 million viewers and up to 6.7 million people who followed the festival at some point- and was once again a worldwide 'trending topic' on Twitter with a reach of more than 130 million users.
The long-awaited grand finale shot up the audience to almost 3 million viewers and in addition to being the most-watched program of the day, the event once again captured the interest of social network users and once again became a worldwide 'trending topic' on Twitter in 13 countries with 385 million users.
Benidorm Fest will have continuity in successive years to continue choosing the representative song of RTVE for the Eurovision Song Contest.
The figures confirm the success of the bet for Benidorm. The final gala became the most-watched program on La 1, with a market share of 21% and 2.96 million viewers, who reached be 3.5 million in the golden minute, just when the winner was announced, 27.7% of those who were watching television at that time. The two semi-finals were watched by 10.7 million people, 91% of whom were between 18 and 34 years old.
The final reached 22 trending topic levels among the trend in Spain with even #BenidormFest leading number one and taking into account the statistics handled by Visit Benidorm, valuing each impact at €0.037, the result is that only in that social network and in that night the economic impact exceeded 13.3 million euros.
