Benidorm signs the regional petition that demands new access to the hospital from the N-332 to the Ministry and the Regional Government

19 November 2018
Benidorm firma la petición comarcal que reclama al Ministerio y la Generalitat nuevos accesos al hospital desde la N-332

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Perez, has signed today the request to claim the Ministry of Development, the Presidency of the Valencian Regional Government and the Department of Universal Health and Public Health to "prioritize and expedite the procedures" to equip the regional hospital from Marina Baixa access from the N-332 road.

Pérez has signed this request in a ceremony held in the hospital of Vila Joiosa in which most of the mayors of the municipalities of the Marina Baixa, which make up the Department of Health, have participated, representatives of the Personnel Board, and the manager of the hospital and health area, Rosa Louis Cereceda.

The request signed by the mayors is accompanied by nearly 10,000 citizen adhesions gathered throughout the region who are asking to take advantage of the expansion of the health center to improve its connection, creating direct access from the N-332. In this regard, from the Personnel Board recalled that recently the Ministry has tendered the contract for the drafting of the expansion project of the center.

In the letter that will be sent to the Government of Spain and the Regional Government, the mayors have asked the three administrations involved - Promotion, Presidency of the Generalitat and the Ministry of Health Universal - to "join forces" so that the opening of these accesses " make reality, in the shortest possible time "; and remarks that it is "fundamental to work together" when claiming this improvement in the connection of the hospital center, which will benefit the entire population of Marina Baixa.

Likewise, it establishes that the project of the accesses "cannot be conditioned to others (...) more ambitious", but that it must be "the fundamental nucleus".

In addition to municipalities, entities or organizations of social scope such as the collective of Las Kellys or the PAH of Altea have signed a similar adhesion document.
