The doors of the Parish Church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna have opened this afternoon to make way for the solemn procession in honor of the patron saint of Benidorm that has toured the center of the city.
The Festes Majors Patronals 2022 have continued this afternoon with the solemn procession in honor of Sant Jaume that started shortly after 7:00 p.m. from the door of the Parish Church of Sant Jaume and Santa Anna, and has travelled through the streets Mayor, Alameda del Mayor Pedro Zaragoza Orts, Paseo de la Carretera, Santa Faz, Mal Pas, and Plaza de San Jaime.
Hundreds of neighbors and tourists have crowded the central streets through which the procession has passed. The mayor, Toni Pérez, together with the mayor of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, have accompanied the queens, Aila Merenciano and Chloe d'Hebboudt, and their courts, along the route, along with a large representation of the corporation which has been joined by the regional deputy, Manuel Pérez Fenoll, the provincial deputy José Ramón González de Zárate, the parish priest Juan Antonio González, the flag-bearer Cristóbal Ronda, the members of honor, the Associació de Penyes and numerous neighbors.
