Benidorm sets up a new bathroom module to serve Poniente beach this Saturday
This Saturday, July 10, a new public restroom module prepared by Benidorm City Council to serve Poniente beach will come into operation, as reported by the councillor of Public Space, José Ramón González de Zárate, and the councilor of Beaches, Mónica Gómez. These restrooms are located at the junction of Armada Española and Xixo avenues, and replace those previously located on the ground floor of Los Fernandos building.
De Zárate has indicated that “this new module, which will be labeled in the coming days, includes an accessible bathroom for people with functional diversity, although it will be operational in the middle of next week once the access ramp from the public highway is completed ”.
Like the rest of the public toiletes, which serve the beaches, they will be open every day of the week from 09:30 to 20:30.
The councillor of Beaches has pointed out that “with this new module there are now five located on Poniente beach; specifically in Paseo de Colón, Elche Park, Armada Española with Xixo, Vicente Llorca Alós avenue at the height of Delfín Hotel and Parque de Tamarindos ”. In addition, Levante beach has two modules in the final section of Rincón de Loix and in Murcia street next to the point of accessible beaches.
Gómez has indicated that “we continue to improve the services we offer on our beaches, which are currently open for extended hours from 07:00 to 22:30, thus allowing their use and favoring the intensive cleaning tasks that are carried during the night ”. At this point, the mayor recalled that "these night tasks are complemented throughout the day with the manual cleaning of the sandy areas carried out by operators of the beach concessionaire in different shifts."
