Benidorm seeks to achieve the certification of Accesibility Point for the Levante beach
The councilman of Beaches, Lorenzo Martinez, attended the convocation of the Managing Organ of Beaches and highlighted that this year is going to try to get the UNE 170001 Universal Accessibility certification for the Point of Accessible Beaches in Levante beach, as was done with the Poniente beach.
Martínez also indicated that other issues of an environmental nature have been treated. Among them, continue with the commitment to reduce the carbon footprint on beaches, as well as noise and fuel pollution. Also, he has spoken of the Marine Pollution Prevention Plan, revealing the councilman that "we are at the expense of which can be the previous study, having already agreed with the Coastal Ecology Institute that this organization draws up this project".
The councilwoman of Urbanism, Lourdes Caselles, has also attended the call to address the possible impact of PATIVEL (Territorial Action Plan of the Green Infrastructure of the Litoral) to the qualification of the beaches and coves of the city. On this, Martinez has commented that "does not affect anything", since it decided in the final specifications of the contract of beaches it was decided "to keep the coves in their natural state", not allowing the bidding of recreational activities.
