Benidorm reuses water from the fire station's swimming pool for irrigation and street cleaning
Benidorm City Council will reuse water from the regional fire station's swimming pool for street cleaning and watering, as announced today by the Councillor for Street Cleaning, Luis Navarro. This morning, personnel from the street cleaning contractor, Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas (FCC), went to the station to fill the service's water tanks. It is estimated that the water from the pool will be sufficient for street cleaning for two or three days.
The councillor reminded homeowners' associations that if they need to drain their pools at any point during the year due to repairs, leaks, or other maintenance issues, they "can contact the City Council or FCC to have the water collected and used for street cleaning and watering."
