Benidorm requests a new workshop to Conselleria to train and hire for a year twenty unemployed people
The Local Government Board (JGL) has approved today a proposal from the councilor for Employment, Promotion and Local Development, Mª Jesús Pinto, to request the Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labor a grant to develop a new Employment Workshop to train and hire twenty unemployed people for one year.
The councilor of the area recalled that "in recent years Benidorm has developed this type of workshops, which combine training and employment, with the aim of increasing employment and facilitate the employment of unemployed people aged 25 or more." "This 'Benidorm VII Employment Workshop' - detailed - would allow us to train professionals and also encourage self-employment among participants."
'Benidorm VII Employment Workshop' aims to train ten students in 'Auxiliary operations of rigid finishes and urbanization' and in 'Urbanization pavements and masonry'; while the remaining ten would be classified in the specialty of 'Administrative and general services auxiliary operations' and 'Administrative activities in relation to the client'.
After three months of training, the students of the first specialty "would be responsible, among other actions, for repairing the accesses and the steps of the Julio Iglesias auditorium, while the participants of the second specialty" would carry out reception and support to the administrative management derived from the relations with the citizen and visitor of the city ".
Pinto pointed out that when choosing the training specialties, the technicians of the Agency for Employment and Local Development (AEDL) "have taken into account the professional areas that in the city generate jobs, as is the field of construction -primarily urbanization-, and that of administration and management, present in all productive sectors, including Public Administration.
The project 'Employment Workshop Benidorm VII' is budgeted at 470,302.70 euros, amount in which are included salaries and payment of Social Security of the twenty participating students and the teaching team, which is estimated at five professionals. In case the Ministry subsidizes the project, the municipal contribution would be 70,642 euros, destined to finance the necessary materials for the development of the program and the indemnities for the termination of contracts.
At this time, and since last December 29, the 'Benidorm VI Employment Workshop' is being developed in the specialties of 'Auxiliary activities of nurseries, gardens and garden centers' and 'Local tourism promotion and visitor information' .
