Benidorm reopens the administrative extension of Els Tolls on September 4 after the improvement works
The City Council has invested about 14,500 euros in repairing the pavement and waterproofing the facades
The administrative extension of Els Tolls will be operational again next September 4, once the improvement and repair works that are being carried out by the City Council have finished, which have meant an investment of around 14,500 euros. The mayor, Toni Pérez, together with the Councilor for Administrative Extensions, Mª Jesús Pinto, have checked the progress of the work, which has focused mainly on the pavement and one of the façades of the building.
Pinto recalled that the pavement of the building, which also functions as a neighborhood center, "was very deteriorated due to humidity, to the point that part of the floating platform was raised and meant a significant risk of falling for users." Faced with this deterioration, all the parquet of the building was removed and replaced by ceramic stoneware that simulates wood and "is a much more resistant material".
In addition, there has also been a waterproofing perimeter and watertightness of the facades to prevent water leaks when it rains.
The councilor explained that "at the beginning of the week will be all the pavement placed and the moons of the facades waterproofed, so that only the facilities will be repainted", which were closed to the public on 1 August. "We have done these works in the dates in which the administrative activity and neighborhood go down a little looking thus generate the minimum possible annoyances to residents and users of Els Tolls," he added.
