Members of the municipal corporation headed by the mayor, Toni Pérez, and by the councilor of Equality, Paquita Ripoll; municipal workers and neighbors have concentrated in silence this noon at the gates of the City Hall to condemn the latest case of gender violence, recorded yesterday in the town of Arroyo de la Luz. The victim, a 42-year-old woman, was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband, who remains hospitalized. The couple had two daughters, ages 9 and 12.
With this death, there are already 36 women killed by their partners or ex-partners in 2017.
