Benidorm is ready to live the falleras fiestas after the 'plantà' of its three monuments
As tradition dictates, Benidorm Falllas, recently recognized by Unesco as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, are already a tangible reality. The three monuments belonging to the commissions of Els Tolls, Rincón de Loix and Benidorm Center have been planted after hours of intense work and the last finishing touches ended with the first hours of the day.
This morning, at 10.30, Fiesta Councilman Jesús Carrobles and the president of the Fallera Local Board, Daniel Masip, received the jury sent by the Central Board at the Casa del Fester. The three judges have visited each of the monuments to determine which will receive the award for the best falla this year, a distinction that will also be accompanied by the 'Premi a la Millor Falla del Municipi de la Generalitat', endowed with 1,000 euros. The verdict will be announced this afternoon and at 8.30 pm the Local Fallera Board will deliver the prizes.
Jesús Carrobles, recognized this morning "the effort and the hard work" of the falleros of Benidorm who "have worked for a whole year for neighbors and visitors to enjoy the fiestas of San José" and has encouraged everyone to "live intensely" the Fallas in Benidorm.
