Benidorm prioritizes the procedures to update the license of the works of IES Pere Mª Orts i Bosch
The Conselleria presented last week the new project of execution
The mayor has given instructions so that the request is attended with "the maximum diligence", although the Generalitat has not informed when the works could be reactivated
Benidorm City Council will give "priority" to the procedures to update the work permit of the extension of the Secondary Education Institute (IES) Pere Mª Orts i Bosch based on the implementation project sent by the Ministry of Education.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, reported that the project was sent on Thursday, January 24, and that "the City Council has put in place all the administrative and technical machinery to be able to attend as soon as possible" the request of the Conselleria to change the ownership of the building permit and update it.
Pérez clarified that this license was in the name of the construction company that started the works, which were paralyzed years ago when the mercantile entered into a competition of creditors and when it was already executed 85% of the expansion.
The municipal technicians will now have to report on the execution project provided by the Ministry for 15% of the expansion that remains to be executed, and which amounts to around 1.5 million euros.
Pérez said that the referral of the project execution and the request for the license to be updated is "good news" and indicated that the Conselleria has not communicated when the works could be reactivated and what their planning is. In any case, he stressed that "we understand that they are a priority for the Generalitat" since in December 2015 was announced its execution for the first half of 2016.
The mayor showed his confidence that the works "will be executed as soon as possible" once the judicial and insolvency problems that paralyzed this project have been saved, and stressed that the City Council will act "with the greatest diligence" to complete the procedures.
