This action together with London OET and the Council of Chambers of the Valencian Community seeks to mitigate the possible effects of ‘Brexit’

Benidorm, present in London to show its tourist and Valencian Community offer to tour operators and media

Benidorm, presente en Londres para mostrar su oferta turística y de la Comunitat a turoperadores y medios de comunicación

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; Visit Benidorm manager, Leire Bilbao; and the general secretary of Hosbec, Nuria Montes; have moved to London today on behalf of the city's tourism brand to participate in the presentation day of the Valencian Community's offer to British tour operators and media. A conference organized by the Valencian Community Tourism in collaboration with the Spanish Tourism Office (OET) in London and the Council of Chambers of the Valencian Community, which will be borne by the president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, and the regional secretary of Tourism Francesc Colomer.

Toni Pérez has explained that this action is integrated in “the program that we have been developing in a coordinated way for two years to have an effective presence in the face of what can be and can be the‘ Brexit ’for the relations of the United Kingdom and Spain; and in the field of tourism, for our city ”. At this point, he recalled that the British is the "main issuing market" for Benidorm.

The day has started with a business meeting that has been followed by the presentation of the Valencian Community destination, including the Benidorm brand -very powerful in the United Kingdom-. The mayor has stressed that “in addition to transferring the tourist offer of Benidorm and our hospitality, this presentation to tour operators and media has also served to fully guarantee and convey that, whatever the outcome of the 'Brexit' is and when occurs, we are ready to continue being the preferred destination for the British ”.

After the presentation, the chef Quique Dacosta has offered a tasting with Valencian products as protagonists.
