This Saturday the Christmas Square, the Christmas Market, and the Christmas Village are inaugurated
Fiestas and Culture have planned activities and exhibitions for children
Benidorm is already preparing for Christmas, which this year will be felt in more points of the city. This Saturday, December 3, with the inauguration of the Christmas Square, installed in Plaza SSMM Reyes de España, at 18.00 hours; and with the opening of the Christmas Market in Elche Park and the Christmas Village in Gambo Street. The latter has been organized in collaboration with the Independent Association of Merchants of Benidorm and region (AICO). As in previous years, in the Christams Square rides and an ice rink will be installed. There will also be inflatables, performances, theater and shows. From Friday 23rd December these activities will have a daily character. The councilors of Fiestas and Culture have also prepared activities for the smallest and exhibitions in Boca Calvari Museum, where this Saturday opens a show of betlems by Paco Rosera and where it will also be installed the betlem of the Association Amics del Betlem de la Marina Baixa . During these Christmas days, on the ground floor of the museum there will be workshops of magic, Christmas decorations, 3D landscapes, and puppets; theater and games; Children's films such as 'Frozen', 'The Grinch' and 'Nightmare before Christmas'. The Hall of the Town Hall, meanwhile, hosts from Saturday a model of train; and from December 8 to January 6, you can visit the traditional nativity scene of the ACR La Barqueta at the headquarters of the entity, located at Tomás Ortuño Street. The councilor of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, indicated that "this year we want Christmas to reach more neighborhoods of the city and not just stay in the center. That is why lighting will be reinforced, which will also reach the avenues of Mediterráneo, Jaime I, Beniardá and Andalucía. In addition, Fundación Visit Benidorm will install an 11-meter-high Christmas tree at the intersection of Levante Beach with Atmella del Mar Avenue and two smaller ones in El Torrejó and El Mirador.
