The Department of Education has opened the registration period for the Summer Educational Support Program (PAEV), aimed at Primary students and which, like last year, will have 90 places and will take place at the CEIP Leonor Canalejas facilities. The acting Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, recalled that "through this program, r classes are offered to students who during the course have not obtained the expected academic results so that they can start the next one in the best conditions".

The classes and educational activities of the PAEV will begin on July 5 and will continue until August 25. As usual, two shifts will be established. In the first, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the students of 2nd, 4th, and 6th grade of Primary will participate; while from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. it will be the turn of the 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students.

In these two hours of daily class from Monday to Friday, the students of each course will reinforce curricular subjects –such as Mathematics, Spanish Language, Valencian, and English-, and they will work on study techniques, attention games, and verbal and mathematical reasoning.

Registration for the PAEV is open until June 30 in the Department of Education, located on the third floor of the City Hall, at Plaza SSMM Reyes de España. The general price of the program is 72.35 euros, although there are reduced prices for large families, single parents, with functional diversity, foster families, parents or guardians with Youth Card, retirees, or pensioners. In addition, attendance at the PAEV will be free for special large or single-parent families or those with functional diversity greater than 33%.

Moreno has indicated that "as in previous editions, the Department of Education will grant a maximum of 30 individualized grants that will cover 100% of the cost of the program." The granting of these aids will be measured by income and scale criteria and can be requested until June 14. Likewise, the program will be free for families benefiting from the Guaranteed Citizen Income or regulated Economic provision of the City Council's social services.

The mayor has stressed that "both the price discounts and the scholarships are aimed exclusively at families registered in Benidorm."
